Our Complete Christmas Wreath Sizing Guide to Finding the Perfect Fit for Your Door
In this story
Finding the perfect Christmas wreath for your front door is about more than just choosing a beautiful design; it is also about scale and proportion. A wreath that is too small can look lost on a grand entryway, while one that is too large can overwhelm the space and make it difficult to open the door. To help you achieve that picture-perfect holiday look, we have put together a complete Christmas wreath sizing guide.

The Standard Front Door (36 inches wide)
For most standard single front doors, a wreath measuring between 22 and 24 inches in diameter is the ideal choice. This size leaves about 6 inches of space on either side of the wreath, creating a perfectly balanced look. Our Classic Christmas Ornament Wreath and Poinsettia & Pinecone Wreath are perfectly sized for this standard application, offering plenty of visual impact without crowding the door frame.

Oversized and Custom Doors
If you have an oversized door, a standard 24-inch wreath might look a bit underwhelming. In this case, you will want to look for a wreath that is 28 to 36 inches in diameter. The general rule of thumb is to measure the width of your door and subtract 12 inches to find your ideal wreath size.
Double Doors
Decorating double doors is twice the fun! For double doors, you should hang two matching wreaths—one on each door. To maintain balance, choose slightly smaller wreaths, typically around 20 to 22 inches in diameter. Hang them at the exact same height, usually right at eye level, for a symmetrical, classic appearance.

Remember, the right size wreath sets the foundation for your entire porch decor, ensuring your entryway looks welcoming and beautifully proportioned.
